Jlo's Trainer Reveals What Makes The Singer Look So Great

Jennifer Lopez is constantly turning heads, as the 46-year-old mother of twins and singer looks like she hasn’t aged in the last decade. What’s her secret? Her trainer, Tracy Anderson, reveals that it’s all in her diet.

Most trainers will tell you that keeping a healthy lifestyle is a balance between getting enough exercise and eating the right foods. What most people don’t realize is that what you eat not only can cause you to gain weight, but it can also cause other problems, like acne and wrinkles.


“What’s going on inside of us is really a reflection of what’s going on–on the outside of us, and she’s a very happy person and that just translates into beauty,” says Anderson.

Jlo’s secret for having youthful skin is something pretty simple (or is it?): a diet that consists in unprocessed foods and a diet rich in vegetables. “It’s all organic and it’s all very well thought out, with the balance of very high quality proteins and a lot of nutrient-dense food,” explains Anderson to People.

What exactly does she eat? Jlo starts her day out with a protein shake and some decaf coffee. For lunch she will eat a green salad with fresh salmon and for dinner she’ll have a some type of grain, quinoa for example, with lean protein.

Jlo’s favorite fast food used to be pizza and even though she sticks to her healthy meal plan most of the time, she still indulges in the things she loves. “We’re all human. I don’t think you should beat yourself up if you make a mistake or if you have a potato chip,” she told People last year.

The two things she won’t touch are caffeine and alcohol. “I have her eating very clean because she needs really good fuel for all the things that she’s doing,” explains Anderson.

The singer is having one of the best years of her life. She’s not only a judge on the last season of American Idol, but she’s also appearing on the NBC cop drama, Shades of Blue and if that wasn’t enough, she’s getting ready to kick off her first Las Vegas show which opens today– January 20th. Her trainer says that Jlo loves life and part of loving life is taking care of her body.
