Most people love popcorn because it’s warm and light, but it’s important that you look at the popcorn that you’re eating. Microwave popcorn pouches are the worst because they are packed with artificial ingredients and lots of sodium. Yes, it may be easy, but if you want a healthier option, get an air popper or simply a pot with a lid, some olive oil or light butter and pop it yourself—it’s quite easy! You can simply add a little bit of salt for flavor. popcorn

The two most popular types of popcorn are mushroom and butterfly. Butterfly popcorn is associated with tenderness and no hulls, whereas mushroom popcorn is used to add flavorings like caramel and cheese. The healthier of the two is butterfly popcorn. Depending on where you look, you can find organic popcorn, white, yellow, or even find red and black kernels. It’s really up to your personal preference.
