Aloe Vera
This plant is great to soothe your itchy scalp. Cut a leaf open and with the gooey gel it produces, you can massage your scalp before shampooing your hair. You shampoo your hair afterwards and then rinse off.
Apple Cider Vinegar
The acidity of apple cider vinegar can change the pH of your scalp, making it more difficult for yeast to grow. Simply mix a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup of water in a spray bottle and spray the mixture on your scalp. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then wash your hair, do this twice a week.
Lemon Juice
Most people have lemons in their refrigerator and using lemon juice for dandruff is the most inexpensive one of these treatments. Simply massage 2 tablespoons of lemon juice onto your scalp and then rinse with water. You can also rinse your hair with lemon juice, which smells great.
Aspirin
Your dandruff solution might be sitting in your medicine cabinet. Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which many medicated dandruff shampoos also have. Crush two aspirins into a fine powder and add them to your palm and mix it in with your shampoo. Leave it in for a couple of minutes, then rinse off.
Most dandruff cases don’t require a doctor’s visit, but if you’re experiencing over the counter shampoos are not working, you have a super itchy scalp or redness, then it might be time to seekprofessional help.
