Gray hairs have never been on trend, up until now. There’s a granny hair beauty trend that has women in their 20’s dyeing their hair gray. Many celebrities like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and even Dascha Polanco have taken part in this trend, making gray hair look really beautiful. While this look might look great on some, it might not be for everyone.
So let’s talk gray hairs.
More and more women are getting gray hairs early, as young as their teens and even 20’s. You can blame genetics and even stress on premature greying. You begin to develop gray hairs when you stop producing pigment cells that release melanin.
When you’re stressed, these cells can disappear when they are exposed to stress hormones. If you’re running low on vitamins B12 and B-9, or you’re anemic and have an iron deficiency, this too can be a problem.
Think about your diet and if you’re noticing gray hairs, then eat a balanced diet rich in antioxidants, eat more fish like salmon, leafy vegetables, like spinach and kale, and healthy nuts, like almonds. Also, relax. Do some yoga or some type of exercise to ease your stress level.
If all else fails and if you like onions, then we recommend this anti-gray hair hack:
- Blend 2 to 3 onions in a blender with 1 cup of water
- Apply to your roots and let it rest for up to 1 hour
- Try this for 6 consecutive days and see results
Eating onions on a regular basis has many health benefits. Onions are great to prevent hair loss, thicken your hair, and stimulate new hair growth. It can also get rid of dandruff, yeast, fungal infections, and onion juice stimulates blood circulation.
