Sofía Vergara’s Intimate Look Inside Her Life, Her Home, And Even Her Accent

Sofía Vergara is on the cover of HOLA! magazine and not only does she let her readers inside her home but she also shares some details on her marriage with Joe Manganiello and even discusses Gloria’s accent from Modern Family.

“The wedding was such a beautiful wedding,” says Vergara, who recently celebrated her one-year anniversary. She shared many photos from her wedding on Instagram, letting her fans inside on her special day. “We have the best fans in the world and we know that they are happy to see us happy and in love.”

The love birds share that it was love at first sight and that they love to laugh and have a great time together. “We would talk for many hours and it was obvious that we have the same sense of humor and the same values,” says Joe Manganiello. She agrees and says that he’s super funny and they even have a secret voice that they use.

The couple lives in Los Angeles and they let their readers inside their love nest, a place where she has spent a lot of time making sure it looks homey and warm since they don’t live alone. “Yes, everything, everything I chose, really. I mean the decorator would show me things, but I had something else in mind because I wanted a home that we would be able to enjoy because I have my son Manolo and my niece living here,” she says.

As we all know family is very important for Latinos, and Vergara is no exception. She’s been criticized for over-exaggerating her character, Gloria on Modern Family, but if you hear her speak in real person, the accent she does on the show is not too different from her regular voice. “What’s wrong with being a stereotype,” says Vergara. “Gloria was inspired by my mom and my aunt. They are Latina women that grew up in Colombia, just like me. I love colors, prints, and shoes. I’m like that: a voluptuous woman, a happy woman, an intense woman that wants to be involved in everything my partner does in order to help him.”
