Lady Gaga Uses Alternative Therapies For Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is something that can put a burden on everyday life and it’s something that is more common than you think. One in ten Americans suffer from pain every day and Lady Gaga is one of them.

The singer recently shared a picture on Instagram sharing her struggles with chronic pain. “Having a frustrating day with chronic pain, but I find myself feeling so blessed to have such strong intelligent female doctors. I think about Joanne too and her strength and the day gets a little easier.”

Chronic pain is described as any type of persistent pain and it can be caused by inflammation or dysfunctional nerves. People that suffer from chronic pain can have pain that lasts a couple of days to years.

Any type of persistent pain should be assessed by your primary doctor. Many times patients can get medications, acupuncture, behavioral therapy or even surgery to alleviate the pain depending on what’s causing it.

In the Latino community, we are strong believers of alternative medicine and home remedies, but it’s important to visit you doctor so that they can properly diagnose the root of the problem.
