“It was a fight, it was definitely a fight,” she said. “It’s good to hear that it helped anybody in some way, because, at the end of the day, I was just trying to be myself without trying to fit into a mold of what everybody else should be.”
She felt so strongly, that she couldn’t bare to work with a manager that asked her to do something she didn’t want to do. “I was just so infuriated that somebody said you couldn’t have a little extra meat on you—because I was by no means fat!” Lopez says to TV Guide. “That was so mean and closed-minded. I was like: ‘No, this is who I am and this is the type of woman that I grew up with and it’s beautiful. There’s no reason to be anybody but myself.’”
Like most women JLo fluctuates between sizes, she can be a size 4 at her thinnest and go up to a size 8. It’s good to know that she’s just like the rest of us and as long as that piece of clothing fits right, who cares about the number on the tag. Could you imagine what JLo would look without her booty and all her curves? No thanks!
