What Can You do?
To increase dopamine levels in your system, you have to start doing things that you enjoy, things that help you stay focused, productive and motivated. These are a couple of things that you can do to boost your dopamine levels:
Exercise: When you exercise your brain releases chemicals, like serotonin, endorphins and dopamine, which give you energy and make you function better.
Eat More Tyrosine: Tyrosine is the protein that creates dopamine, so eat tyrosine-rich foods, such as almonds, avocados, bananas, beef, chicken, coffee, chocolate, eggs, greet tea, and yogurt.
Music: Music has a way to naturally increase your energy levels, while releasing dopamine as a response. Music makes you happy, excited, and even gets you up and dancing, which can eliminate low-dopamine symptoms.
Get a hobby: Finding something that is fun to do can help with your dopamine production. Google something interesting to do or find new projects on Pintrest or Etsy that you can try out.
Find A Challenge: Being competitive or finding something that challenges you keeps you motivated. Even accomplishing tasks that you’re proud of can also help.
Supplements: Taking supplements of curcumin, turmeric, or Ginkgo Biloba can also increase your levels and even keep it in your brain longer.
It’s important to visit your doctor often and talk to him about what’s bothering you in order to stay healthy. Talk to your doctor, many times some of the symptoms listed above can be related to health issue, rather than low dopamine levels.
