Her number one love is her daughter Frida, which is what makes her the happiest because she makes her feel good. “Sometimes we don’t appreciate things until you lose them, and now my health is my priority because without it you can’t do anything,” says Guzmán. She had a prosthesis implanted in the affected area and she had to relearn to walk and even had to use a cane. Now that she’s regained her health, she thinks about the mistake she did and how she learned a very difficult lesson. She never hid it from her fans, in part because she wanted them to learn from her mistake, which was a very painful one, that to this day, she’s still undergoing treatment.
Guzmán continues to look amazing at almost 50 years old and she continues to hit her workouts hard. She does 40 minutes in the elliptical machine; she does ab workouts, strength-training and Pilates. “I don’t think you’re going to get rid of me that easy, as long as I have my health, the energy to do shows, the creativity and continue to reinvent myself, that’s enough,” she says.
She certainly looks amazing and part of getting older is learning from your mistakes, something that everyone can learn from and learn to embrace the natural aging process. There are so many things that can keep you looking younger, such as eating right, moisturizing, drinking water and hitting your workout hard like she does.
