According to CharityVision there are 39 million that are blind all over the world and unfortunately 90% of them live in developing countries where every minute a child goes blind. Out of that 90% a shocking 80% of blindness can be cured. The non-profit works with local physicians to create sustainable solutions to address the blindness epidemic. The organization contacts physicians who are willing to provide the surgeries and their time for no cost and the organization takes care of allocating surgical equipment, facilities and the supplies they need to perform the surgeries.

The event is expected to raise $1 million, which will help cover the costs for 40,000 sight-restoring surgeries in poverty areas around the world.
