Christina Aguilera, a Victim of Domestic Violence

“Partnering with Verizon is one of the reasons why I love to be in this business — to be able to use my voice and what I’ve been given to give others hope and give them a voice if they’re having a hard time finding it themselves,” she said in an interview with MIMI.
Now that Aguilera is a mother she wants to protect her children from anyone hurting them and wants to create the best quality of life for them. “I definitely knew when I was going to make the decision to have children of my own, that I definitely would do my very best to make sure their environment was safe, that they were emotionally safe and secure because those were the things that I didn’t have growing up.”
This might also be where her love for music started. She turned to music to help her cope through these difficult times. Aguilera used music as therapy, which helped her overcome the difficulties she was experiencing.
