Types of Body Fat and How To Get Rid of It

Do you ever wonder why you gain weight only on certain parts of your body? It’s really annoying when you carry fat in just one or two parts of your body. It makes you wonder what you’re doing wrong. Many times it’s our work, eating habits or the lack of exercise. Which body type describes you and what can you do about it?

Belly, Arms, and Chin

This type of fat accumulation is associated with a poor diet, high in fat and sugar. This is probably the most dangerous type of fat to have because the fat accumulated is pushing against your vital organs, making them work twice as hard. You can get rid of this by eating better and taking on exercises that can include a mix of cardio and weight-training in order to tone your muscles and shed the fat away.

Belly and Lower Back

This type of fat is associated with stress, depression, anxiety or nervousness. The first thing you need to worry about is toning down your stress. Practice yoga and breathing exercises that help you relax and keep your mind at ease. Eat healthily and make sure you do not stress eat because that might be the main cause of that fat accumulation.

Buttocks and Thighs

Many women seem to suffer from having a big bottom and thick thighs. This is often caused by a hormonal imbalance that can happen when you’re going through puberty or even during menopause. Eating healthy, visiting your doctor to manage any hormonal problem is necessary to get to the bottom of the problem. Practice aerobics to strengthen your bottom and legs.
