Is Organic Skincare Worth The Money?

We’ve tried our share of organic products and even though they’re more expensive, the organic option is 9 out of 10 times much better for your skin. The natural products tend not to be as harsh, cause less irritation, and provide a more vibrant look than over-processed products that include a number of chemicals. The processed products aren’t necessarily bad for your skin, but you don’t really know what you’re placing on your skin. This is especially true when trying new products because you are more likely to have a poor reaction to a new processed product than to an organic one.

We tried Vernal Beauty Bee-Radiant Organic Booster Oil with sumac, bee propolis and rosehip which has a long list of organic oils such as sunflower, avocado, and castor oil. This is the first time we try cold-pressed oils and we’re pleasantly surprised. This oil is perfect for when you don’t need a thick moisturizer, plus all you need is just a couple of drops. One of the biggest mistakes when using oils like these is using too much of the product.

The first time I used it I added four drops and applied the drops directly on my forehead, cheeks, and chin, which is not the way you’re supposed to apply oil. It may seem like four drops is not a lot, but it’s way too much and this caused me to break out, which is not good. After a couple of days, I gave it another shot, but this time I added just a couple of drops on the palm of one hand and rubbed my hands together, then began to massage the oil onto my face. The next day, I woke up with beautifully moisturized skin that looked flawless, similar to the effect you get after you get a good facial. My face did not feel oily, I had no acne, and it gave me just the summer natural glow that you only get after applying makeup.

This oil includes propolis, which is a natural resin that bees make. It’s a sticky substance that bees collect from flowers, tree leaves, and leaf buds, which they use to coat the interior of their hives for self-defense. It’s a natural disinfectant and antioxidant for them and has similar benefits for your skin. Propolis is packed with antioxidants, rich in vitamins, minerals, and nutrients, helps prevent acne, anti-aging, helps decongest pores and stimulates cell renewal. It helps skin restore and maintain its natural structure, which explains why this product worked so well once I used it the right way.

Sometimes we don’t realize how important it is to invest in good products, and when it comes to our skin, having good, vibrant and healthy skin is worth the cost.
