The winter months are harsh on everyone’s skin. There are many do-it-yourself facial recipes available online that will make your face feel as smooth as a professional treatment. Try grinding up some oatmeal, add a splash of milk or spoonful of yogurt, and lather onto the face and let sit for 15 minutes. When you wash it off you’ll feel your face silky smooth.

Dry and dead skin just builds and sits on the body if we don’t regularly exfoliate. Mix in a large bowl sugar and honey or olive oil and scrub your entire body with it. Don’t forget to use that scrub on your lips and if you want to use it on the face, do a small patch test first to make sure your skin won’t react harshly. Winter months dried out your hair as well? Try a milk and honey hair mask at home, let it sit under a shower cap for 25 minutes and shampoo off. Hair will feel nourished and bouncy.

Many brands offer at-home spa kits, head to your favorite cosmetic counter or store and see what they have to offer. Light a scented candle, play your favorite music and get ready for a night of rejuvenation.
