María Celeste began her television career as a local reporter for Puerto Rico’s Canal in 1986. She was hired by Telemundo’s New York affiliate and in 1994 went on to work for “Primer Impacto” on Univision, rejoining Telemundo as the main anchor of “Al Rojo Vivo” in 2002.
On Wednesday she received a special proclamation from the State of New York acknowledging their fifteen years on the air as well as a positive impact on the Latino community. The weeklong festivities will end on Friday with fifteen quinceañeras who will celebrate their 15th birthdays in a dream quinceañera show along with a serenade from special guests.
