There are several benefits to drinking water early in the morning. When you wake up with a dry mouth, drinking water immediately takes that ugly parched feeling away, you also feel refreshed, and in turn have more energy, feel lighter and happier.

Drinking water also gives your immune system the kickstart it needs early in the morning. It fills you up and curves your appetite, helping you reach for the oatmeal instead of the donuts in the morning. If you have trouble going #2 and you don’t have much time to get ready, water helps move things out faster and relieves constipation. Plus, water keeps your skin hydrated, making your skin look healthy and beautiful.
Looks like Cameron Diaz is benefiting in more ways that we first imagined. But, in reality you don’t need to drink a whole liter of water. It’s good that she can drink 1 liter of water that early in the morning, but those that want to follow in her footsteps could start seeing the benefits, even if they start with an 8 oz. glass of water. Remember that some fruits have tons of water, so starting your day off with water and a cup of fruit can work wonders too.
