Adriana Lima’s Tips For a Flat Belly

Staying slim is one of biggest challenges for women, especially after you’ve had a couple of kids. Many moms slip into the comfort of their yoga pants, but then complain about how good they used to look. Victoria Secret Angel, Adriana Lima is a mother of two, and yes we know she’s a supermodel, so they pay her to be thin), but there’s a couple tips she shares on how she manages to stay thin and keep her belly flat.

“Unfortunately, there is no magic pill—I actually have to put in hard work to stay fit,” says Adriana Lima to Vogue. The Brazilian model does half-hour runs and bikes around the neighborhood, or takes a boxing class. She enjoys working out with a buddy, which is always a good way to stay motivated to work out.

“I spend a lot of time in my car—going to the gym, running errands, and shuttling my kids around-where it’s easy to go through a drive-thru or pick up chips and candy from the gas station,” she says. Instead of giving in to temptation, she keeps a small cooler filled with water and some sliced fresh fruit in her car that she munches on when she’s hungry.

She also is a big fan of keeping hydrated, “Fill your belly with water to have great skin.” Having great skin doesn’t magically happen, especially after 30. The busy mom says that she not only keeps well hydrated, but also moisturizes her belly so that it can look great when she wears a crop top or bikini. “Drinking water will help you glow, but when I wear clothes that show off some skin, I like to use lotion or body oil with shimmer to keep it silky and smooth,” she says.

Lima even shares a recipe for one her favorite morning smoothie that helps her jumpstart her day. Check out the recipe:

1 cup water
1/2 avocado
Honey to taste

Blend to taste, adding more or less of each ingredient, as desired.

 

Add about 1 cup of cold water to the blender. Halve and pit a fresh avocado, then scoop the meat into the blender. Pulse until the mixture combines and grows creamy, then add a small amount of organic honey to taste. For a richer base, substitute 1 cup of milk and a 1/2 cup of plain yogurt for water, blend, and enjoy.

These are some great tips that anybody can use. It definitely takes hard work to look this good!
