Even though his parents were separated he had a strong relationship with his father. Unfortunately his

father battled with depression after suffering a car accident and committed suicide. Something that is still very difficult for Cruz to talk about, even after almost 10 years since his father has passed. His father was his number 1 fan and supported him through the years.
Now that he’s a father himself to his daughter Kennedy, like most father’s he wants nothing but the best for his child and is focusing on the importance of spending as much time with your children with a family-friendly football event. On Father’s Day weekend he will host the first annual Father’s Day Exhibition and Skills challenge in Hackensack, NJ.
Cruz will be joined by Giants running back, Shane Vereen, quarterback Ryan Nassib, safety Bennet Jackson and wide receivers Dwayne Harris and Tavarres King. Fans can expect a fun-filled event with football drills, speed and strength training and tips on life skills from experts. There will also be a celebrity-coached 7 on 7 exhibition. The tickets for the event are not cheap, but for good reason because proceeds from the event will benefit STEM programming supported by the Victor Cruz Foundation.
