Alert! The 7 Health Tests That All Men Should Not Ignore

––––––––––

4️⃣  Diabetes test. If you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, your doctor will test you for diabetes. If you are overweight, your doctor will also test your cholesterol.

5️⃣  Prostate cancer test. Suppose you are considering undergoing a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test or digital rectal examination (DRE). In that case, talking to your doctor about the many benefits of early prostate cancer detection is essential.

5️⃣  Test for sexually transmitted diseases. You should consider the possibility of having HIV if you have ever had multiple blood transfusions or had sex with strangers.

7️⃣  Depression test. This is the most controversial topic after sexually transmitted diseases. Many men are used to keeping silent about any problem they experience. Occasionally, we all feel sad, but that doesn’t have to mean that we are depressed. There are specific “justifiable” reasons for depression: losing a job, getting sick or dying of a loved one, or work stress alone.

If you’ve been sad, hopeless, uninterested in doing things, or just wanted to sleep all the time for two weeks, talk to your doctor. You may find that with some help, you can return to a happy, everyday life. But don’t let your doctor prescribe antidepressant medications. Taking pills without doing anything to change the situation or your attitude will only get worse over time.

✅  Why should men have regular health screenings? It is vital because it allows physicians and patients to take preventive measures like dietary changes, regular exercise, and lifestyle modifications. For those who already have chronic medical conditions, such as high blood pressure or diabetes, regular screenings are essential to manage these conditions.

✅  What are the vaccines more critical? Men should be sure to keep their vaccinations up to date, including flu, tetanus, hepatitis B, and other infectious disease vaccines.

✅  If you don’t like to visit a doctor, so what? You are putting your health at risk in several ways. While it’s understandable that some people feel apprehensive or anxious about going to doctor’s appointments, it’s essential to recognize that regular medical care is critical to maintaining and improving your health.
