10 Foods that Secure and Strengthen Romantic Relationships

My friend Jose has a happy and healthy relationship for more than 20 years with Sarah, his wife. When I asked him what his secret is, he said it all comes down to food. According to Jose, food is the key to keeping a relationship strong.

As the sun set on a warm summer evening, Sarah prepared a special dinner for her husband, Jose. She has intimate knowledge of the foods that unleash an unforgettable romantic evening. Sarah began with a light appetizer of oysters, known for their aphrodisiac qualities. She then served a delicious main course of grilled salmon containing omega-3 fatty acids. These fatty acids are beneficial for blood flow and provide an energy boost. For dessert, a chocolate mousse with phenylethylamine, a natural chemical that releases endorphins in the brain, which induces pleasure and satisfaction. Sarah surprised John with a glass of red wine after dinner. Red wine can relax the body and improve blood circulation. They danced together in the moonlight, feeling the magic of the night and the power of the meal they had shared.

When the couple’s relationship is “going from bad to worse,” using the methods within our reach is convenient. One of them is food. The arrival of a baby, the stress, the monotony. Multiple factors can influence apathy towards romance and sex, which can affect the harmony in a couple’s relationship. The reasons are understandable and clear. The baby needs a lot of attention. It isn’t easy to organize everything at home. We feel the lack of privacy. We find ourselves exhausted. The routine becomes monotonous and requires more sparkle and originality. However, sometimes small gestures are enough to create a slightly fiery atmosphere that reawakens the desire between you. If, in addition, aphrodisiac foods are in the evening, moments of passion are assured. Many foods improve romantic relationships and ignite the spark of “LOVE.” Fruits, spices, some fish, and seafood. The range is extensive, but we analyze the properties of 10 specific foods on this occasion.

1️⃣  Dark chocolate. The aphrodisiac power of this substance lies in its phenylethylamine content, which triggers an exquisite feeling of happiness and delight. There are an infinite number of dessert recipes with chocolate that can awaken the deepest and most dormant desire.

2️⃣  Pomegranate. A study by the University of Edinburgh has shown that consuming pomegranate juice can increase testosterone levels by 30%. So much so that this fruit is classified as a natural “Viagra.” Both men and women notice an improvement in desire and mood with regular pomegranate consumption. Other studies relate it to an improvement in erectile function and an increase in the quantity and mobility of spermatozoa.

3️⃣  Oysters. Of the seafood in the market, oysters are the best known for their aphrodisiac power. Although this property is questioned from the scientific perspective, they contain zinc in high quantities, which favors testosterone production. Likewise, their high omega-3 content favors vasodilation and, therefore, erection. These foods have minerals such as iodine and several vitamins (A, B, C, and D), which help to improve mood and health.

4️⃣  Strawberries. The famous strawberries have vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant. They also stimulate the endocrine glands and the central nervous system, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. A delicious dessert with strawberries and a refreshing salad with strawberries are perfect options to whet your appetite.

5️⃣  Avocado. Its folic acid content and vitamins D and E give it tremendous energy. Avocado is the perfect food to improve romantic relationships. In addition, it is very healthy due to its content of unsaturated fats necessary for the body.
