Women and men face different types and levels of stress in society. Men have difficulty expressing their emotions and seeking social support, which negatively impacts health in the medium and long term. Men’s jobs, such as construction and mining, expose them to the dangers of accidents and injuries. Women do not take these jobs. And if they do take them, they are more cautious of any threats.
Women generally have a more robust immune response and are more infection-resistant. Some studies suggest that they have a better and quicker ability to recover. They also manage their emotions more effectively, which has a positive impact on mental well-being.
Differences between men and women are difficult to perceive in thinking. They depend on many factors, such as upbringing, society, and culture. Some think women are passive, helpful, sensitive, or caring. And men are active, strong leaders and conquerors. These gender stereotypes increase the risk of women and girls suffering abuse and violent relationships.
The outdated and detrimental stereotype of the “weaker sex” has perpetuated inequality and discrimination against women for far too long. The idea that women are naturally less capable, less intense, or less competent than men, is not true and has no scientific evidence supporting it.
Who is more intelligent, the man or the woman? It is essential to understand that people’s abilities, skills, and strengths are not determined by gender. The differences between men and women come from both biology and social influences, but they do not mean that one gender is superior or inferior to the other.
