Si quiere potenciar su día de trabajo, pruebe con los ‘microdescansos’

Si se siente cansado en el trabajo, un “microdescanso” podría ayudarle a restaurar su nivel de energía, afirma un estudio reciente.

Los microdescansos son unas pausas breves y no planificadas, que incluyen actividades como comer un refrigerio, hablar con un compañero de trabajo, hacer estiramientos o un crucigrama, explicaron los investigadores.

“Por definición, un microdescanso es breve”, señaló la coautora del estudio, Sophia Cho, profesora asistente de psicología de la Universidad Estatal de Carolina del Norte.

“Pero un descanso de cinco minutos puede ser magnífico si lo hace en el momento correcto”, aseguró en un comunicado de prensa de la universidad. “Nuestro estudio muestra que lo mejor para una compañía es dar autonomía a los empleados en términos de hacer microdescansos cuando los necesiten. Ayuda a los empleados a gestionar su energía de forma efectiva, y a implicarse en su trabajo a lo largo de todo el día”.

Cho y sus colaboradores encontraron que los microdescansos parecen ayudar a los empleados cansados a recuperarse de la fatiga matutina y a trabajar mejor a lo largo del día.
