Thacker said she hopes the new analysis prompts renewed interest in testosterone therapy for women.
“I think it’s a shame we didn’t get the patch when we could have had it a decade ago,” Thacker said. “I would hope this work might stimulate someone to bring the patch to market for women.”
The new analysis was published online July 25 in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology journal.
