With so many BBQ invites this summer, it’s a good thing to go with a plan in mind. Cocktails, especially mixed drinks can pack on the calories and can lead to a bloated belly and weight gain. This is why wine is your best friend when it comes to backyard BBQ’s. There are many ways to spruce up your BBQ, especially if you’re hosting and here are some fun ideas that are easy to make and delicious on a hot summer day!

Rosé With Frosty Berries

This recipe is great if you don’t have a wine fridge or enough space in your regular fridge to keep your wine bottles cool. Simply soak berries in rosé, or freeze the fruits and add them to your glasses of rosé that way you’ll have rosé infused berries that will act as ice cubes and keep your wine chilled.


Rosé Punch

This tasty punch includes juicy peaches and berries that give a beautiful scent to your glass of wine.
Ingredients

4 peaches sliced
1 bottle (750 ml) rose wine chilled
2 cups sparkling lemonade (ie. Lorina lemonade) chilled
2 tablespoons black raspberry liqueur (ie. Chambord)
27 raspberriesPlace half the peach slices in ice cube trays, one slice per compartment; add water, and freeze.

Mix wine, lemonade, and liqueur in the punch bowl. Add peach slices and some of the peach ice cubes. To serve, place remaining peach ice cubes in cups, and ladle in the punch; garnish with raspberries.

Rosé Grapefruit Cocktail

This citrus cocktail is perfect when you’re on a diet. Plus it only has three ingredients, wine, grapefruit juice and ice!

Ingredients

1 cup Lillet Rose or Blanc

1/2 cup fresh pink or Ruby Red grapefruit juice

Ice

Divide wine and juice among four glasses. Fill glasses with ice and stir.

Rosé Sangria Cocktail

There’s something about sangria that just screams summer and it’s refreshing. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Ingredients:
2 parts Solerno
6 parts Marqués de Riscal Rosado
1 part fresh lemon juice
2 parts pomegranate juice
6 parts seltzer water
Garnish: raspberries, blueberries, and pomegranates


Mix all wet ingredients and garnish each glass with your preferred berries. Serve chilled.
