10 Benefits of Eating Eggs to Promote Healthy Living

The heavenly aroma that filled the kitchen every time my grandmother Juana prepared eggs for breakfast was simply magical. It was as if the eggs were calling to me, begging me to come and enjoy them. She would fry them in butter until the edges were crispy and serve them with a slice of homemade bread and fresh orange juice. My grandmother said they were a great source of protein and vitamins and good for my hair, skin, and bones.

Eggs contain omega-3 oils, which promote a healthier life. Flaxseed-fed chickens are rich in omega-3s.

1️⃣  Plenty of protein. Eggs are a complete protein source, with all the essential amino acids. The proteins in eggs are highly digestible, which means they are absorbed and utilized efficiently by the body.

2️⃣  Nutrients and colors. Eggs are rich in vitamins such as B12, D, A, and E and minerals such as iron and zinc. White or brown eggs, which are the best? White eggs are laid by hens from breeds with white plumage, such as Leghorn, while brown eggs come from species such as Rhode Island Red. The difference in shell color does not affect egg quality or flavor. The nutritional composition, such as the amount of protein, fat, and vitamins, is similar in both types.

3️⃣  Satiety. Eggs are a good source of protein and healthy fats, which helps keep you full and satisfied longer. Weight loss depends on many factors, including diet, physical activity, and lifestyle. No one food or product is magically slimming on its own.

4️⃣  Eyes. Eggs have Lutein and Zeaxanthin, antioxidants that prevent age-related eye diseases. The vitamin A in eggs is essential for eye health. They also contain nutrients such as vitamin E and zinc, which are beneficial for vision.

5️⃣  Brain. Eggs are a source of choline, a nutrient for brain function and cognitive development. They also have B vitamins, folic acid, and riboflavin, which are valuable for neurotransmitter production.

6️⃣  The immune system. Eggs contain selenium, which is essential for cellular health. In addition, vitamin B12 produces white blood cells, which are involved in the body’s defense against infection.
