Carlos Vives Receives Award of Excellence at Premio Lo Nuestro

The singer was moved and said how proud he is of being Colombian, Latino and how he always valued what his family did for him. “I want to tell our youth that everything good that they get, that they achieve in a country like the U.S.; never forget your origin, your country, your grandparents, your ancestors.” He worked very hard for everything he’s achieved and explains that even though you’re going to find people that are not going to make things easy for you, you are going to find people that love you, and at the end those are the people you should hold on to.
