America Ferrera & Other Celebrities Join The Women’s March On Washington

“It is my duty as an American citizen to exercise my rights, make my voice heard and stand up for what I believe in,” Scarlett Johansson said. “The new administration may be very vague about specifics, but one thing has been made very clear; their intentions of reducing the availability of women’s health care and attacking her reproductive rights. I am marching on Washington to let our next president know that we, men and women alike, will not stand down or be silenced and will fight to protect our bodies and our choices.”

“I am honored to be a member of the Artist Table. An attack on Planned Parenthood is an attack on all American women. There is no more urgent time than now to raise our voices and be heard,” said Debra Messing.

Trump has constantly insulted women during his campaign, but to make matters worse, he’s threatened to get rid of Planned Parenthood, the number one free source where women can get free pregnancy tests, STD tests, and even an abortion if they choose to have one. He has also threatened to get rid of Obamacare, which provides healthcare to many that had never had health care before. In addition, he’s been very vocal on various women’s rights and issues.

This march is a way for women to stand up for what they believe and offer support to others that will be affected by the new changes that are coming with this new administration.
