Sofía Vergara is no stranger to the spotlight. This Colombian beauty was recently on Despierta America with her cousin Mariana Vergara who is an aesthetician. Vergara says that her cousin always helps her with her skin regimen, always advising her on the best products for her skin, on what to eat, to make sure she looks great from inside out. “ I love moisturizers, If my cousin tells me to put cement on my eyes, I will do it,” joked Vergara. Mariana Vergara says that it’s important to use sunblock and use moisturizer every day on your face, neck, and hands.
Sofía Vergara started working in front of the camera since her early 20’s, so she has always had to worry about looking her very best. She follows a low-carb diet, doesn’t eat red meat and even though she’s never been a fan of working out she exercises doing Pilates, strength training, and spinning. One of the things she swears by is moisturizer. It’s important to start using anti-wrinkle cream in your 20’s and 30’s to prevent the signs of aging before they start happening. Dr. Vergara explains that as the skin becomes older due to lack of elasticity, you begin to see lines to appear, such as laugh lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines.
Moisturizers help reduce the amount of fine lines. Look for moisturizers with ingredients like vitamin C, vitamin E, antioxidants, zinc, aloe, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides. These help maintain your skin hydrated and it helps protect the collagen and elastin in the skin that diminishes in your 30’s.
