Abortion has always been a touchy subject and one that continues to have the country divided, yet many believe that it’s every woman’s right to choose. This was the case for Naya Rivera who at 23 years of age–just as her career was taking off she became pregnant. The actress opens up about her abortion and battling with anorexia in her memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up, in stores September 13.
Rivera had an abortion in late 2010, just weeks after breaking up with her then boyfriend, Ryan Dorsey, whom she later wed in 2014 and is now the father of her son, Josey Dorsey. She terminated her pregnancy during a day off from filming an episode of Glee.
