Charytín Goyco, “La Rubia de América” has been out of the spotlight for a while now (at least from the U.S.) and many people still remember the Dominican entertainer whose career spanned over the course of over 40 years. Her husband, Elín Ortíz suffers from advanced Alzheimer’s, which has been a difficult experience for Charytín and their 3 children.

Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, where people suffer from memory loss and other intellectual abilities that can interfere with everyday life. The famous show producer, Elín Ortíz discovered Charytin while dancing during a television program in the Dominican Republic; they married in 1974 and have been together ever since.
