Which Candy Is The Most Likely to Give You Cavities?

Halloween has always been everyone’s favorite holiday because you get to dress up and at the end of the night you get to eat tons of free candy. As a parent, you not only have to check your children’s bags of candy, but also monitor what they eat. Many times children collect mountains of candy that can last them weeks, so it’s important to monitor their sugar intake because certain types of candy are more likely to give children cavities than others.GUMMY WORMS

Which Candy Is The Most Likely to Give You Cavities?

Depending on the ages of your children, they might have baby teeth or adult teeth. Either way, you don’t want to have to worry about getting cavities because maintenance on cavities can be quite expensive. These are the worst candies for cavities:

  • Laffy Taffy
  • Starburst
  • Dots
  • Gummy Bears/Worms
  • Skittles
  • Raisinets
  • Snickers
  • Milky Way
  • Twix

An easy way to point out which candies are bad for you is to go by their level of stickiness or chewiness. But don’t worry, not all candy is bad. Some of the better candy options include Kit Kat, Nestle’s Crunch, Hershey’s Chocolate, M&M’s, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Even though these aren’t as chewy as the before mentioned, they can still pack on the sugar, so don’t go overboard.
