Many Latinas in Hollywood have faced backlash because of the way they look. Often managers, producers, and executives tell them that they need to slim down otherwise they won’t get cast for roles in Hollywood. Jennifer Lopez has always been a victim of body shaming because she has a big butt, she’s curvy, but that’s just the way she likes it. In fact, Lopez recently opened up about firing her past manager who told her she needed to lose weight in order to hit it big in Hollywood.

Lopez started out as a dancer, so she’s always had a curvy, yet very fit body. “They kept telling me to lose weight,” said Lopez to US Weekly. She refused because she felt that if she were to lose more weight, she wouldn’t feel like herself.
