Here are 6 easy and effective Home Remedies for Shiny, Strong, & Healthy Hair – Straight from your Kitchen

Olive oil:

We all buy expensive hair products that promise great fast results, but olive oil can do the same trick. Simply warm up half a cup of olive oil and rub it into your hair. Cover your head with a plastic back and let it rest for 45 minutes. Later shampoo and rinse off. Olive oil will bring back the moisture and shine to brittle hair, as well as get rid of an itchy scalp.

Tea:

You drink it every morning, it smells great, did you know that tea can add a natural shine and enhance your hair color. Use chamomile if you’re blond and black tea for brunettes.

Omega 3’s:

Eating foods like flaxseeds, fish, and soybeans provide you the nourishment for good hair by preventing hair loss and making it grow healthier and giving it the elasticity it needs when you apply heat or anything else.

Baking soda:

Sometimes you wash your hair and it still feels oily. If your hair has extra residue, try mixing 2 tsp. of baking soda to a cup of water and massage it into your scalp ends. Let it rest for about 15 minutes then shampoo and rinse.

Avocados:

As tasty as guacamole is, avocados can be used on your head too because it’s high in protein. Cut an avocado in half into a bowl and smash it into a paste, then apply it to wet hair and let it rest for 15 minutes. This will help with frizzy hair.

Beer:

This is something that might not make sense, but it can help strengthen your hair, adding extra volume and shine. Make sure you use a traditionally brewed beer made from hops to minimize chemicals and maximize nutrients.
