Having great sexy legs doesn’t take hard work, but just like other parts of your body, you have to give them some love so they can look great. Many times we forget that this part of our body needs some attention too and we forget about the basics. Stop hiding your legs behind pants, make sure you do these things in order to  show off your beautiful legs.

Take a Bath

Your legs have been in hibernation for at least 6 months during the winter and more than likely you’ve taken quick showers because we know that taking showers in the winter can be a freezing endeavor. Well those hot showers in combination with the cold dry weather can only mean that the skin from your legs is dry and ashy. What you need is some pampering and what better than a bubble bath. Soaking in the tub with warm water for even 15-20 minutes (not hot because that dries your skin) can help you get smooth legs. Add some moisturizing bubble bath or some moisturizing bath oils and your skin will thank you later.

Exfoliate

Most women focus on exfoliating their faces, but they don’t realize there are dead skin cells all over your body. Exfoliating your legs doesn’t have to be a difficult task and in fact you can do it with a salt, sugar or even coffee scrub with tea tree oil for smoother legs. It can also help you get rid of bumps and ingrown hairs by keeping down the swelling and inflammation.

Shave, Wax or Thread

Make sure you exfoliate before shaving because this opens up your pores for a closer shave. Don’t just use your razor directly on your skin, make sure you’re using some type of moisturizing shaving cream with hydrating oils that help glide your razor smoothly and help lock in moisture to your legs. You might also want to try waxing or threading the hair from your legs, since it gets rid of hair for a longer amount of time, which also keeps the irritation levels down.

Moisturize

Women spend so much money on face creams, but not too many spend money on moisturizing products for their legs. Many times body lotions are just not enough and you have a higher chance of having clogged pores with lotions than you do with body oils. This is because oils are lighter and it’s a great way to moisturize your skin deep, especially after the long winter months that leave your skin looking ashy and dull. The best types of body oils are Argan oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, flaxseed oil, lavender and olive oil.

Spider Veins

Many women get spider veins, especially when they’re pregnant. Spider veins are caused by increased pressure in the veins and the easiest way to avoid them is to keep moving. Keeping your weight down, exercising and avoiding sitting or standing for long periods of time can help spider veins from appearing. Exercising prevents circulation problems, plus it strengthens your leg muscles. Using the right shoes and keeping your feet elevated also helps.

Toning

There are a variety of workouts that can help tone your legs. When it comes to sexy legs, you do have to put in the work. Yoga, running, walking, doing squats and lunges are just some of the exercises that help you achieve great results. Check out this leg workout, which also helps tone your butt.
