Sephora is the place to go when you need to stock up on beauty supplies and try new makeup products, but now the beauty retailer recently announced that they are going a step further for cancer patients. Starting April 9th, select Sephora locations will offer Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer classes.
These sessions are an extension of the Classes for Confidence series, which are free courses designed to encourage and support people who are facing life-changing circumstances.
As if battling cancer weren’t difficult enough, many people (especially women) are feeling sad because they start to lose their hair–including eyebrows, their skin is changing color, and they’re just not feeling as pretty as they used to. These classes help cancer patients target specific areas, making them look beautiful and in turn returning their confidence.
“A lot of ladies are at a point of their life where they just giving up,” class participant Joanelle explains in a video. “But it gives us that hope to know that we can keep on going.”
In addition to helping cancer patients and survivors, Sephora is also helping women feel more confident at work. They are partnering with nonprofits in various communities to help women return to work with every day beauty looks they can practice at home.
