“I am blessed to have a wife like Rikkie who is the only person who understands me. Lol!!! I proudly announce that real soon Rikkie and I will be parents!!! Not yet, but soon.”

Latinos love big families, so this doesn’t come as a surprise. The fact that he’s thinking of having a child in his 50’s isn’t surprising either, since men can father children much later in life than women. Women too are waiting longer to have children and this is increasing their chances of having twins.

In Quintanilla’s case, he’s 52 years old, so it might take him a little longer to impregnate his wife because the older the man is, the longer it will take. Just like women produce less estrogen as they get older, men produce less testosterone, which can mean a decline in fertility.

If you’re an older man there are things you can do to boost your fertility, such as eating healthy and losing weight because being obese can reduce the quantity and quality of your sperm. It’s always important to get a check up if you’re thinking of having children, just in case.

Good luck to the happy couple!
