Age is just a number and more and more women are finding love later in life. That’s the case for Cameron Diaz who got married not at 40, but at 41 to Good Charlotte rocker, Benji Madden.
Diaz has been MIA for the last couple of years, mainly focusing on her marriage, which she describes as the best relationship she’s ever had. “I had boyfriends before. And there’s a really, really distinct difference between husbands and boyfriends. And I have a husband who is just my partner in life and in everything.,” she says to E! News.
She explains that she and Madden are different, but they share the same values. “We’re totally two peas in a pod. We are both just weird enough for each other.” Madden has always been very supportive of her and her projects and has no problem being outspoken about how much he adores and is proud of her.

“Somehow my husband has just been able to kind of show me what it’s like not to have that be a part of a relationship, and being an equal,” she says. This is the first time she is loved like this and it’s something that uplifts her. “I never experienced that before. I’d never been loved in that way,” says Diaz. “I look at him every day and he inspires me–he works so hard. I feel so lucky.”
