Salma Hayek’s Goal Is To Age Gracefully Without The Use of Botox

Salma Hayek is 50 years old and the Mexican beauty says that her goal is to age gracefully. This means no Botox, injections, or fillers. Hayek married François-Henri Pinault in 2009 and moved to Paris and the French lifestyle is definitely agreeing with her.

“I don’t believe in Botox,” says the actress to DuJour’s Spring 2017 issue. “Listen, if there was something you could do that would keep you looking good, I would do it. But, I’m in love with my husband, and I want to look like a lovely lady when I’m 70. I want him to see me and think, ‘Okay, my girl is old now, but there’s still beauty there.’”

But—this does not mean that Hayek does whatever she can to preserve her skin looking young. In 2011, she launched her own cosmetics line, Nuance Salma Hayek and she even calls herself a “product whore.” “I’m a product whore. I pile them on top of each other and make my own cocktails,” she says to InStyle.

She started using serum on her neck a couple of years ago after she noticed some wrinkling. “A few months ago I noticed the beginning of a turkey neck. I said to my makeup artist, ‘Are you seeing what I’m seeing?’ She said, ‘I hate to admit it, but I do.’ So I started using the serum all over my neck. Two weeks later the turkey was gone!”

On screen, she’s tired of portraying the sexy woman. “Sometimes with age, you get better characters,” she explains. “I love to play the mother, and I’ll be excited to play the grandmother. How boring to play that [sexy] part for the rest of my life. I think I’d shoot myself.”
