Last night celebrities shined at the Met Gala and one accessory shined the brightest. The Cuban-Salvadorian, New York-based celebrity manicurist Mar y Soul Inzerillo is behind Gigi Hadid’s $2,000 chrome manicure, which is the envy of many.
The custom almond-shaped manicure is made from real chrome and designed by Inzerillo and created by KISS Nails. Why is it so pricey? In addition to being made of real chrome, there are three real crystals underneath each nail.
“The crystals brought up the price a lot,” Inzerillo said to The News. “The amount of time and effort I put into this, it should have been way more than $2,000.” She is close friends with Gigi and met her on her first magazine cover shoot when she was just 17 years old. “It’s beautiful to watch her grow from being a new face to a supermodel,” explains Inzerillo.
