Lady Gaga Puts Sex on Canvas For a Great Cause

Lady Gaga is not one to be shy about her sexuality and she her future hubby, Taylor Kinney stripped down for art and for a great cause. The adorable couple stripped down on top of a paint canvas and they photographed themselves with their bodies full of paint after having sex, a photo that made the V magazine’s cover, where she was a guest editor.

Lady Gaga has always been open about her life, about being raped and has done countless efforts inspiring young people and anti-bullying campaigns. This project is no different, since she did this art canvas project in order to raise money and awareness about mental illness.

Her fiancé was the one that came up with the idea for this project: “Since we first met, Taylor’s been drawing and painting all over me. Years ago, when we were secretly living in San Diego and crashing on the floor of a beach shack, we never wore shoes. He told me he wanted to make love to me on a canvas,” she says.

Just like everything she does, she did this project with a very strong message behind it. “We made love on the canvas on a Sunday in Chicago. We made love amidst chaos. We talked about shootings. We made love amidst terrorism and we talked about how people’s hearts are also suffering all over the world as they watch and witness a swell of violence. We made love amidst violence.”

It’s really amazing how celebrities like Lady Gaga, bring light on important issues that are happening all over affecting the lives of many: “During tumultuous times, we hope everyone in the world will see this and be reminded to love each other wildly, generously, totally, colorfully, without fear and with compassionate hearts. We made a galaxy of endless colors with only brief, black holes of emptiness that are then filled by each other.”

The money raised from this project will proceed her organization, Born This Way Foundation.
