Zoe Saldana Suffers From Post-Pregnancy Pains Almost 1 Year Later

Zoe Saldana once again wants you to know that she shares your pain—post-pregnancy pains, that is. Saldana had her twins a little under a year ago and she says that she’s still experiencing pregnancy pain.

“There’s something that happens to your body hormonally and it’s not just the weight that you acquire, but your nerves, your muscles…everything hurts and feels uncomfortable,” she said. Saldana is always promoting positive messages toward women and advices them to take their time after childbirth.

“You have to remind yourself that everything takes time,” explains Saldana. “I feel bad for those women who are desperate and want to bounce back three months after having a baby.” Instead she says those women should breastfeed, stay home and sleep. She took a break and trusted that her body was going to bounce back slowly. Saldana explains that it’s not easy and that women shouldn’t feel the pressure to bounce back immediately.

What Are Some of the Post-pregnancy pains?

If you’ve recently had a baby, take it easy and know that all of the aches and pains you’re feeling will eventually go away. It might take time, but eventually you’ll feel better, even if it takes a year or more.
