María Celeste Is Celebrating Her Quinceañera At Al Rojo Vivo

María Celeste is celebrating her quinceañera or 15 years at “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste” and all week-long she’s been celebrating with special guests and highlights of the stories she’s covered throughout the years.

On Wednesday the program aired from Times Square (the broadcast location of the show’s inaugural episode) with visits by Latino superstars, Aracely Arámbula, Reykon, El Dasa and Andrés Cantor. Also, New York State Assembly members Francisco Moya and Marcos Crespo presented María Celeste with an official proclamation to acknowledge the show´s anniversary and positive impact on the Latino culture.

“Fifteen years ago, we started this great adventure with a commitment to offer audiences a dynamic program full of compelling information,” said “Al Rojo Vivo” host, Maria Celeste Arraras to NBC. “We have been committed ever since to ensure that each episode offers relevant and compelling news stories from around the world on a wide range of topics. That is why we like to say that ‘Al Rojo Vivo’ offers everything in one hour.”

María Celeste began her television career as a local reporter for Puerto Rico’s Canal in 1986.  She was hired by Telemundo’s New York affiliate and in 1994 went on to work for “Primer Impacto” on Univision, rejoining Telemundo as the main anchor of “Al Rojo Vivo” in 2002.

On Wednesday she received a special proclamation from the State of New York acknowledging their fifteen years on the air as well as a positive impact on the Latino community. The weeklong festivities will end on Friday with fifteen quinceañeras who will celebrate their 15th birthdays in a dream quinceañera show along with a serenade from special guests.
