Chayanne has been happily married for almost 25 years and he says he’s been very fortunate. He’s been married to Venezuelan lawyer, Marilisa Maronese for all of these years and they have 2 children, Lorenzo and Isadora.
He says that he’s always enjoyed dating with his wife. “You always date until you have a child, because then your kids grow up, and you have to maintain that spark,” says the singer to People en Español.
Communication is also very important to maintaining a strong relationship and explains that good communication is key in his relationship as well as the relationship he has with his two children. “It’s not that you don’t want to jump because you have blood in your veins, but you always have to share the decisions you are about to take,” he says.
Chayanne has a new record out and an upcoming tour which is something he’s looking forward to because he loves his fans. “Many times you don’t know how to act because you can be stuck at a red light and another car across from you looks at you. You laugh and they may ask why you are laughing, but if you don’t laugh, then what do I do?” he says. “I laugh even when you don’t laugh with me. What am I to do. Life is too short. We have to enjoy it.”
