What makes Latinos so happy? It seems like everywhere you look, there’s someone laughing, smiling, and just genuinely having a great time. Maybe it’s something in the food, their personality, or just the way of living. According to the World Happiness report, there are several Latin American countries that top the list among the happiest around the world. Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Guatemala, Venezuela, Brazil and El Salvador made the top list for the 50 happiest countries. Here are some reasons why Latinos are so darn happy!
Learn to live well with less. Many of the older Hispanic people living the United States were born in poor societies that lacked basic necessities. Many of them immigrated to the U.S. in search for a better life and this may have prepared them to confront bad times with a lesser sense of instability.
Never go solo. Their family and friends are the most precious resources they have and they love doing things in big groups. They love big families and love spending time with them. Food is very important, because it helps bring people together and there’s never a shortage of food when everyone gets together!
Faithful. Latinos enjoy going to church because it gives them a sense of belonging and something to believe in. Their church community is a huge part of being Latino and the belief that “God will always provide” always helps them keep a positive attitude when provisions are hard to come by. Helping them stay faithful and believing that good things will come helps them keep a positive attitude.
Affectionate. Latinos aren’t afraid of telling you that they love you either by kissing, hugging, or simply by letting you know how much you mean to them. They give themselves permission to enjoy sensuality in all aspects of life. They know how to do sexy, whether it’s physically, emotionally, cooking, music, dancing–they can find sensuality in everything.
Enjoy the Moment. One of the things that make them happy is that they like to live for today. That doesn’t mean maxing out their credit cards, but rather enjoying the moment they’re living in and being appreciative of what they have.
These are just some of the minuscule reasons why Latinos are much happier. Being Latino comes with its perks and being happy is just one that many share.
