Latinos shined bright during last night’s 73rd Gold Globe Awards. In an interview with GQ Magazine, Isaac explains how important individualism is for him, something he learned from his father. “For my father, individualism was very important, and he instilled that in me,” Isaac says. “It was way more important to recognize myself as an individual than as part of a group. I wasn’t part of the ‘Latino community.’ I was just a kid in high school with friends, who was into playing music.”
It looks like Isaac is starting the year off right. Other Latinos that shined bright during the Golden globes are Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu who took home a Golden Globe for Best Director for The Reverant, Mexican actor, Gael Garcia Bernal took another one for Best Performance in a television series or comedy for Mozart in the Jungle.
