It’s #GivingTuesday and in the spirit of giving, Salma Hayek announced on Instagram that her 8 year old daughter Valentina is doing something special with her hair. Valentina is letting her hair grow long so she can cut it and donate it and eventually be turned into a wig for children with cancer.

There are a variety of organizations for both children and adults that you can donate inches of your hair and they will turn into wigs for children with cancer or those that suffer from diseases that cause hair loss. Most require that the hair be 8-10 inches in length or longer. It must be clean, dry and braided or put in a pony tail. Hair that isn’t dyed is acceptable, even though they prefer hair that is healthy and not chemically treated.
