This Independence Day we are all excited to be off for the 4th of July Holiday, but we never think about the meaning of this day. Our freedom should not be taken for granted nor the lives of all of those brave soldiers that fight every day to protect our homes. As a way to give back several celebrities have worked with Operation Homefront which day-in, day-out they work with veterans to provide them financial assistance, food assistance and even provide them mortgage-free homes for them and their families.

Operation Homefront assists military families during difficult financial times by providing food on their tables, fixing their cars and homes, with vision care, travel and transportation, and moving assistance. It’s very difficult for many veterans when they return home and have nothing to return to, so this organization makes sure they help them in any way that they can.
They also help them with recovery. Many soldiers come back wounded or have post-traumatic stress. This organization formed Hearts of Valor, which helps veterans get the help that they need to be healthy and strong members of the community.
Their Homes on the Homefront program helps place veterans in donated homes. These are military families around the country that together with celebrities like Tim McGraw, Chase bank, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America, help these families in need get the home that they so much need and deserve.
