El Refresco y Dulces Sin Azúcar También Pueden Dañar Los Dientes

Incluso los refrescos, las bebidas deportivas y los dulces sin azúcar pueden dañar a los dientes, advierte un estudio reciente.

Los investigadores australianos evaluaron 23 productos sin y con azúcar, que incluían refrescos y bebidas deportivas, y encontraron que algunos aditivos ácidos y los niveles bajos de pH (una medida de la acidez) dañan a los dientes, aunque estén libres de azúcar.

La erosión dental ocurre cuando el ácido disuelve los tejidos duros del diente. “En sus primeras etapas, la erosión quita las capas superficiales del esmalte dental.
