A couple of weeks ago, Argentian heartthrob, Enrique Iglesias made the mistake of trying to grab a drone while on stage during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico. The drone sliced his fingers, causing a bloody mess on stage for everyone to witness.

During the concert, Iglesias drew a heart-shape on his white t-shirt, temporarily bandaged his bloody hand, and continued to sing for his fans for 30 more minutes, despite his manager asking him to end the concert. Iglesias immediately received medical attention after the concert and then took to Twitter to write his fans the message: “Never give up. Never stop. The show must go on.”
The heart-shaped bloody t-shirt created such a frenzy on Twitter with his fans wanting to buy the gruesome, but cool design, that he got a great idea. Now you can purchase a replica of the t-shirt with the same heart-shaped design and the money raised from those t-shirts will go to an organization that does reconstructive surgery for children.
The singer received reconstructive surgery on his hand and he continues to suffer a great deal of pain; he took to Twitter to thank his fans for the ouburst of support. His fans in turn have been sending him hand-written messages of support on their own hands through social media, wishing him a speedy recovery.
What a great way to turn this horribly bloody accident and moment of pain into something great for those that need it most. This is also a reminder that we shouldn’t try to grab on to a drone, while it’s flying in the air. Lesson learned.
