This Is What This 116-Year-Old Mexican Great-Grandma Eats Every Day

María Félix is an 116-year-old great-great-grandmother who had 10 children and has 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren. Her secret to leading a long life is eating healthy, even though she doesn’t deprive herself of drinking some beer once in a while.cactus

This lady is from Jalisco and grew up in Zacatecas eating foods from the region. “What’s helped is cactus, pointleaf manzanita, purslane and amaranth,” she says. For many years she ate these foods which are locally grown in that part of Mexico, even though now she drinks soy milk which help her stay active and healthy.
